![]() ![]() I had this Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek yarn in my stash, that I had only used a little bit of for a previous project. So whether you’re looking to make a last minute baby shower gift or just love the design of this simple, yet beautiful baby blanket, I hope you enjoy this pattern! It also uses double crochet stitches so it works up fast! And when I say it works up fast, I mean it took me LESS THAN 4 HOURS TO MAKE! Now, the speed at which you can finish greatly depends on how fast or slow you are at crocheting, but I consider myself to crochet on the slower side and I took many breaks while working on this blanket and it still took me just under 4 hours from start to finish. I wanted to use a chevron design because it adds interest to the blanket without being too difficult to create. Lastly, I wanted to be able to use only the yarn in my stash, as I’ve been trying to work through it all for the last year. I wanted something simple, but not too boring or basic, and something that could work up really quick. While searching through Pinterest for a quick and easy blanket idea, I couldn’t find anything I loved. But when I heard my cousin was expecting a baby girl, I thought a handmade baby blanket would be such a sweet gift for her. I have a hard time working on large projects because my attention span is not that long and I get bored of working on the same thing for an extended period of time. To be honest, I’ve never been that interested in crocheting blankets.
